Wireless connection

Im trying to create a wireless network so my brother can use the net, but i dont want to have a wirless connection too.

basically i want to get the cable from my modem to my ethernet card, running into a splitter which then connects directly to my computer and to a wirless router so he can use the net too. will there be a problem with this?

Why would you want to do that? (I dont think you can anyways, but even if you could...

You would just get a router with wireless capabilities AND ethernet ports...the modem connects to the router which connects through ethernet to your computer and sends the wireless signal to your brother.

There is NO reason to want to do it the way you said. Not even for speed, because it would defanatly be faster the way i just said.

Heres how this kinda thing works. (Just Replace LAPTOP with brother's computer)
