Wireless and Computer Freezes

Hello,

I have installed both the Netgear software and USB adapter as well as Linksys software and USB adapter and my computer completely freezes after a couple of hours with both wireless tools (ctrl-alt-delete doesnt do anything). Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how to fix this. I am running windows xp SP2, with 512 megs of RAM.

Thanks

Try staying away from the USB adaptors... There are many people here that agree with me. IT MIGHT be and probably is your problem.

Thanks,

Do you know of any other way to connect wirelessly to the internet (not using an internal wireless card).

Thanks again.

Me too

As I have posted elsewhere on same topic, I have same problem with Netgear USP wireless connector. I am running an older AMD processor, 1 gig memory, and Win2K. I'm fine as long as I stay off the network (unplug the USB stick). I can stay up after connecting to network for 5 min or 5 days (random). I can't figure out what is running to cause the conflict. I have suspected overheating, but extra cooling has had not effect. I have replace memory. Any ideas? Anyone.
