Wireless Adapter

This thing came as a bonus in an order I placed the other day. Is it just a wireless modem for my pc, or will it act like a Wyfi hot spot so that I can get on the internet with my PDA in the house? Or is it neither of these things? Thanks.

It's a wireless adapter for a computer to be able to pick up wireless networks.

Yea its like this, if you take it to a hotspot you get a connection. And if you bring in a labtop you are linked (most likely). And to answer your question it can do both.

You'll need to buy a Wireless network router to act as an interface between the Internet and your machine. This dials the Internet in much the same way as a normal DSL modem, then shares the connection out.

We would recommend a Linksys device (easy to manage).

Yea its like this, if you take it to a hotspot you get a connection.

That a wireless pci card, you'd be hard press to move you whole desktop to a hot spot
