Wireless 802.11g questions

first off..all my pcs get knock offline at some point every day for either 10 min or 20 sec..also is there anything i could download to boost my mbps and my signal strength or any settings that i should check and also what would you suggest i buy if nothing else works what kind of booster to help this out half the time our signals are low and the mbps speed is only 11...please help dont know much about wireless know more then the average about pcs..i just know it shouldnt be this hard to set this all up to work perfect..thanks in advance

what's the lease time on ip's assigned by the dhcp? set it to unlimited or the longest time setting. what wireless router do you have?

Change this to something like 365 days

Channel: 6

Make sure all of your wireless clients are tuned to the same channel

Burst Mode: on

That would be how you boost speed. But its already on. I knwo of something that increases upstream speed but unless you constantly uploading to FTP servers etc, its pretty pointless.

Encryption Function: Disabled

Not really a good idea in this day and age of internet hijacking, and plus you just gave us all you SSID so even if you hide that we can come along in our wireless laptops and connect on your network. Not that any of us here would but there are some strange people out there. Consider enabling WEP or WPA security. (Preferably WPA, its better :))
 
is it possible that cause my security is not setup that that can be causing some of my problems?

and i tryed puting in 365 but it goes back to 0
 
i wouldnt say that the error you are having is caused by a security issue. Its more likely to be abuggy firmware version on your router, Windows XP being daft or some other reason out of your control, ISP perhaps.
