I am looking to buy a wireless MiniPCI card for my laptop. (Dell Inspiron 4100) and see that dell has the 1450 for sale, but i also found the truemobile 1400 for sale elsewhere.

So my question is what is the difference? Obviously 1450 is the newwer model and the 1400 no longer being manufactured but wanted to know what is the difference since it would be cheaper for me to buy the 1400

Thank You.

From what i can tell the 1400 Was a nightmare for dropping signal, and actually working as it is suppoed to.. It is funny Dell doesnt have very much info on it.. Well in the forums they do!

If Dell doesnt use it... you know something really bad happens.. It takes them a while to not use something when it is malfunctioning...

Thank you for the tips, I am wondering if i should get it still the 1400 that is, only because I can get a brand new one for $16 USD. I figure even if it sucks not much of a loss.

Would you recommend the 1450 or the Intel/PRO 2915 ?

Thanx again.
