Windows XP installation keeps restarting

I'm trying to install Windows XP on a machine, on the beginning everything goes fine (from booting from the CD to copying the setup files) but when it gets to the part to restart the computer to continue the installation(to start the part when the Windows user interface appears) the computer restarts(part of the installation process) but the screen "Press any key to boot from the CD..." appears again and automatically the computer goes to the beggining of the installation process again.
Do you have any idea of what could be happening?
Thank you

Are you supposed to remove the CD before that last reboot?

My old installation CD immediately formatted the drive, no warning, so it was a good idea to remove it!

Usually that means that the system doesn't recognize a hard drive attached to the system and it boots to the next device in the boot order which would be cdrom. What are you trying to install on? Was this a store bought pc or a custom built one? Are you using IDE or SATA hard drive?

Either what johnb36 said. Or your in the boot loop by having the CD/DVD set as first in your boot order and it keeps booting to the CD over and over and starting the install over and over.
