Juat about to buy a new pc with vista ive heard that vista has an anti spyware programme with it could someone tell me if this runs automatiacally or do i have to request it when i switch my pc on for the first time after setting up pc,also i would probably like to use an alternative spyware programme so in this case how would i get rid of the vista spyware programme provided for free (think it might be windows defender) also i have heard that a free Malicious Software Removal Tool can be downloaded from the microsoft site it updates itself once a month is this worth getting and can it be run alongside any other malware etsc programmes

Yes, Windows Defender comes with Vista, and you don't even notice it's there
unless it needs to update or run a scan.

It also comes with Windows 7.

The Malicious Software Removal tool is automatic, and does indeed update
with Windows Update.

You can also download Windows Defender for Windows XP as well. Microsoft's free Anti virus should be out soon as well just in time for the release of Windows 7.
