Ok so I keep getting this mesage
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

The fiel I am trying to play has been compressed by a program I use call " soundforge" I have not had problems with this before until I used media player 11 , I tried to uninstall media player 11 and downgrade but when I do that I am still getting an error... I have tried re-downloading the sound drivers on my computer.
Any Ideas?

If you receive that error...it usually means the file is corrupt or has some sort of error. What file format (mp3, wav, mp4) are you trying to play?

I tried to download the codecs.... didnt work..

TECHDUDE... I am using MP3.... I;m not sure if you are fermilur with the program sony"soundforge".. I use it to edit audio recordings and such... I have used thsi program before with no problem and now for some reason its not working.... also when I try to go to sites to listen to audio clips I get no sound when I usually did. I get sound from other things such as games and movies..... this is actually bothersum as I use this computer for my audio work (recording , editing and such)
