Having set up Windows Live Mail on my new Windows 8.1 laptop, all seems to be working well apart from when I send - I get this message. Odd as my e-mail address is as shown below Could someone kindly advise me please.
..................................................................................................

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was '[email protected]'.

Subject 'ComputerActive Forum'
Server Error: 530
Server Response: 530 Authentication required
Server: 'smtp.talktalk.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): No

You probably have setting that isn't correct. Are you actually on talktalk network when you are sending your email? If you aren't then you need to use the providers outgoing server settings to send your email.

Im sure I am in TalkTalk only e-mail I have, tried MEP916 idea played about but sadly still getting this:

It still looks like your outgoing server settings aren't configured correctly. You said you set it up, but I'd double check everything.

Select

1) Setting up email on my computer
2) @talktalk.net
3) Windows 8 Mail

That'll provide you with step by step instructions for Windows 8. Make sure you're using the IMAP settings, that's required for Windows 8.
