Windows 7 Enterprise 90-day Trial

Geez these download file names are just soooo big:

Just so you know, anyone can download this as long as:

What is your purpose for downloading Windows® 7?
I am downloading Windows® 7 to:

Test applications I am developing for Windows 7

32bit file is 2.24 Gigs
64bit file is 2.91 Gigs

What is different between this trial and the RC?

Is there any point in downloading this 'Enterprise' if you are already trying the RC?

I'm curious cause everyone claim Windows7 is so fast and this RC I have currently is nothing special so I'm eager to try this if it may be better, faster, more complete?

Thanks

Not sure what the difference is, nor have I heard of an "Enterprise" edition,
but I'm going to try it and see.

It all starts with a good evaluation, and then using the best practices for configuration and deployment. The Springboard team has put together a special trial just for IT pros. If you haven’t yet got your hands on the Windows 7 RTM, download the new 90-day Trial of Windows 7 Enterprise to test and evaluate the final version of Windows 7 Enterprise.

Also keep in mind, the RC file sizes:
Windows 7 RC 32bit = 2.47 Gigs
Windows 7 RC 64bit = 3.19 Gigs

SO, these files are not the same as the RC.

Well I'm quite intrigued! Keep us posted!

Update.

Install took about 25 minutes from USB. I did NOT boot from the USB,
I just inserted it and ran the Setup.exe :good: Very nice to be able to
install this way.

Installing in this manner allows the "Custom" install, which backs up your
current OS and does a clean install.

Aero working fine with onboard GPU. I have installed no drivers. Everything
working perfect, including my wireless USB HTPC keyboard.

no you just unpack it onto a usb and it will be able to boot to it

I used THIS TUTORIAL to make my USB bootable, although I did not boot from it.

It may work without the tutorial though. One member of this forum said they either mounted the .ISO and ran the Setup.exe, or they just extracted the .ISO and ran the Setup.exe and it worked. I can't remember which.

Amazing what Microsoft has done with their installer. :good: :good:

The difference is that RTM is the finished product. It should have less bugs than the RC.

Yeah with win 7 you dont have to do all that. you just format it as ntfs and copy all the files from the cd (or iso) and boot to it.. super easy
