I have 3 desktops downstairs, all with USB wireless adapters. I know USB is crap but the computers are leased for homeschool use and I am unable to alter the insides...
I have 3 computers upstairs, 1 desktop which has the router and modem attached, and 2 laptops, 1 with an ethernet card and the other is a MAC and I suppose has the stuff on the inside that makes it work with wireless.
The router is a Belkin Wireless G router 2.4 ghz
The USB adapters are Belkin Wireless G USB network adapters with a 400 ft range.
The modem is what the cable company gave us, a WebStar something.
The computers downstairs run like crap as far as connection goes, would it cause the computers upstairs to run like crap if I moved the modem and router downstairs? Is there another way to get this to work without costing TONS of money?
