Well, I have a WiFi LAN at home, and every 10 minutes or so, the connection to the internet cuts, but not the connection to the WLAN itself... Any suggestions? There are 5 metres and 2 walls separating the router from the receiver, and the ROuter is Linksys, IEEE 802.11b which allows max 54 Mbits/S.

I read about this as i have the same problem... The problem is with windows Xp. not your wlan... The fix??? Tough there is not one until LONGHORN... Sorry... But i am in the same position...

its in the 802.11 wireless technology, get used to it for now. its a design flaw. anything running at 2.4ghz will kill your connection also like cordless phone if its in right or wrong place at the right time.. if you MUST stay connected plug a cat-5 straight through cable into the router..

let me guess you have a datalink router?

well i have the same setup and mine is fine so its not windows xp it could be a faulty router so take it back ...and the Router is Linksys, IEEE 802.11b which allows max 54 Mbits/S.

I have a netgear 11super-g router, i could take a table out to the street and play games from there. I run xpsp2 as well, thats why im asking about probs with xp and 802.11.
