I'm looking at buying some new computer speakers.
I'm looking for something with a lot of powerful bass. I bought the logitech X-540 set about 2 weeks ago, but i am taking them back to the store tomorrow. They were nice speakers but werent exactly what i was looking for.
I'm thinking of buying the x-2300.

any suggestions?
Thanks.

Indeed what is the price tag here?

However google tells me this - Logitech X-2300 THX 2.1 Speakers price is around 60ish or so.

I personally LOVE my cheap speakers....Logitech S-220 a great bang for buck. Though Logitech is always a good choice and those speakers have a good review.

i could probly spend up to 200 dollars.
The x-2300 brand new at best buy are about 170 i think.
But they are way cheaper on amazon.
I have a 5.1 set up right now, but i wouldnt mind having a 2.1.
I'm just lookin to shake the house with a huge subwoofer, which the x-540 setup does not do.

Well if you don't have 300 dollar for the Z5500 ( Or a sound system)

you can get the G51s

and if you to get the best of your speakers, i configured my master EQ to the "itunes perfect EQ" you can google it, right now i use it to configure my master EQ on my sound card options you should try it I have the X540's and with the preset i can never go past half way with out them shaking my windows and getting in trouble :]

I would go with

All I'm saying is that if you have an awesome sound card, don't skimp on your speakers. If you have a bad/no sound card, don't buy expensive speakers.
It's like putting a V12 in a Dodge Neon... you just DONT do it.

Why wouldnt you? Lightweight car+ V12... sounds like the dodge tomahawk to me except not a motorcycle...:P And onboard sound these days is pretty decent...comporable to the audigy 2/4 line of cards.

For 2.1 get the logitech z-2300. I have them and they are awesome! They are THX certified and have excellent bass and excellent highs.
