Which Headphones?

I am wanting to buy a decent pair of headphones and will spend around about AU$200.

I would be using them mainly for music.

Are there any good websites that help to compare headphones and so on? I mean I'll google and find reviews for any specific ones I find, but am just wondering if there are any good websites.

I am leaning towards Sennheiser because in my experience they have always performed very very well.

I can get these for $AU150:

What do you think?

Thanks :)

I have sorta given up on looking for Sennheiser now. Haven't found any I really want.
I'll start looking at sony then :)

Do logitech make decent headphones anymore? I can't find any on their website or any other sites. Apart from internet chat headsets and stuff.

I'm looking probably more towards noise canceling headphones. I'll check out the ones and linked to by Scout.

Thanks

I use these, don't know what they will cost you down under. They set me back $180 U.S. dollars. You have never heard sound like these can produce...absolutely amazing quality! You won't be disappointed :)

I second that, but buy them at Amazon:) I try the noise canceling headphones whenever I go to the apple store and these are really comfortable and look cool. Do these ones still work when the batteries die? I know alot of noise cancelers will shut down entirely which would suck.

I've had a look at quite a lot of headphones now and still have no idea what I really want.
I'm gonna go into town tomorrow and walk around some stores and see what they have.

Why not trying the Grado brands ? Its SR-60 model is quite cheap and you'll hardly find any negative comment according to sound quality this headphone can provide. You can find it's review here

Ok I have now decided that I want to get some in ear headphones to use with my iPod Touch instead.

I am trying to choose between these three, in order of personal preference:

1. V-Moda Vibe - AUD$149.95

2. Ultimate Ears metro.fi 2 - AUD$119.00

3. Sennheiser CX500 - AUD$149.95

Which do you guys think would be the best?
I don't mind about the prices, I'm just looking to blow some money here haha. I could get the CX300's for AUD$79.95 but I'd like something better.

I'll bet you could afford a Mac Book if you saved your money and stopped buying headphones and ipods. :)

Yes but I'd rather the thrill of getting heaps of new headphones and case fans and other stuff then just one macbook.
I'd get over the macbook in a few days.
I'm almost over my iPod Touch now.
Like I have stopped being like "oh my god i can't believe I actually have one" and now i can just enjoy the music. without trying to use it every single new purpose i can find haha.

Hey man,

You're looking in the wrong place for new headphones. This forum is great, but for headphones, the recommendations you'll find here will be subpar, if not awful for what you're getting.

Head to www.head-fi.org

Good luck, and I feel bad for your wallet =)
