Where can I find a surge protector for my computer?

questions

So I bought a surge protector at best buy, brought it home, tried plugging my monitor and computer into it and it didn't fit. The monitor and computer pluggins have the two thin prongs and a third, round metal base that doesn't fit into those half oval base slots of my surge protector. I'm not sure if I'm using good enough terminology to get my point across so I'll post a picture too.

The half circle/half oval type slot below the twin thin slots is what I'm talking about. My computer and monitor have a full circle one that won't fit into these.

My main concern for this is because I recently had a power outage that ruined my last hard drive. I just bought a new one and don't want it to happen again. Can anyone help me find a place to buy surge protectors with a round bottom slot? I can't find one anywhere.

If not, is there a type of device that will allow me to plugin multiple things to a single outlet, including these three prong round base computer and monitor plugins?

Yea surge protection is very good thing to have.I use UPS ES 550.It's so damn great. It has 8 power slots.4 are without battery and other 4 are with the battery. And all 8 power slots have surge protection. It's one of the best I ever had.

And as you can see it needs just one power slot to plug it in.
You even get a software with it with which you can control what type of alarms you want to enable or disable.

Cheers!

That UPS I showed you uses the following power cable interface called Europe power plug:

So all you need is to find a small converter which will convert your type of power cable into the one which fits the UPS power slots.

What is the exact name of your power cable you showed me on the pictures?
