what is the best temperature for my computer to be at and whats advisable, ive asked a similar question about cooling my comp but dont actually know what a good tempertaure is. thanks all!

Cheers!!!

Well, a good temperature is ~30-35C in my book.

You can get colder, but it's only really going to help if you're overclocking, and only slightly at that. Most chips have a point where no matter what your temp is, they have hit there limit. Be it 30C, or -100C...they just won't go any faster.

You can safely run your PC up to 50C for most processors. Past that point, I'd say look into better cooling. In the 40C range is what most people run, and it's jsut fine.

Athlon 64's should be around 30C-35C i'd say.

Pentium 4's (prescott) can be around 40C-50C.

It would be easier for us to tell you if you tell us what kind of CPU you have.

my comp is really basic i have 2, the one i ruun the net off to download for my vj-ing and that. my comp is celeron proc 256 ram and thats serioulsy it, my other comps me owrk one which is a trillion times better, am rocking the 38c at the min so could it just be my comps crap that it runs slow, it varies from day to day but i usualy perform the same tasks.
