Whats the best access point PCI card?

Whats the best wireless networking PCI card?

Hi, I'm browsing LinkSys.com and looking at the access points... My mommy and daddy are getting me my own computer for Christmas so I'm trying to get the card for it. The router is a 802.11G router, I think WRT54G. The living room computer has a USB Linksys Wireless-G WUSB54G. The living room computer used to be wired to the router but then something happened and the cableman repair guy had to bring it closer to the door of our apartment. So now no computer is wired to it but it still has its old settings..\

Which PCI card is the best one from these (scroll down to Access Points)?

My router is not SpeedBooster so it would do no good to get a SpeedBooster PCI card.. People on this forum say "avoid USB access points", I want to know why? The living room computer gets about 80% reception (not that it only gets reception 80% of the time, I mean the signal strength) from about 20-25 feet away going through a wall or two.. Would a PCI card do better than that?

Also a printer question...

We got a 2600N HP printer a little while ago. Where do I plug the ethernet cable into for it to print wirelessly? Will I need a seperate print server for that or something?

OK, I basically just read your subject and I'm very confused as to what you want. An Access Point is basically a wireless router, but without all the routing features(normally no switch, can't be directly connected to a modem, etc etc) A PCI card, in the case of networking, I assume you mean a wireless networking card... However you linked to routers and such?

I'd just get any 'ol 54g card. My access point, for example, offeres a 22Mbps option with some networking cards, but this is not a 'standard'. Thus, I doubt you'd get much, if any performace increase over your typical 54g card. And what do you plan to do? If you're just getting on the internet, even a 11b card would be fine.

I am le sorry, my English is not so good. I am from France. I meant these little things that le recieve the internet connection from ze router. How you say, a wireless networking card.. And I prefer for it to be G, because faster internet if available, why not you take it?

Well I not only going to browse le internet, maybe I play a FPS or two, ja?

I maybe get ze WUSB54G or the ]WMP54G .

The only difference I see between zem is that one, I would have to open the case and go ----diving inbetween a bunch of cables and the uzzer, I just plug it in.. Does the PCI card offer better signal or something?

Also, for both of zem, would I really HAVE to use the LinkSys software isntead of Windows XP's built in networking features? It's a pain in the neck to install and then try to use the "EASY and INNOVATIVE one TOUCH BUTTON that sets EVERYTHING UP in no time so you and your network can be UP and RUNNING in NO TIME!" ...

So, a le quick summary

Question 1:
What is the advantages / disadvantages of a PCI card opposed to a USB one in terms of functionality and ease of installation? Priority to ease of installation, because Apu seems to take long naps while I'm on hold and waiting 20 minutes on the phone is not easy when you're a busy 6th grader like me.

Question 2:
The printer thing in the original post... I can't type it all out now it's past my bedtime.. Nighty night.
