What wireless card should i get?

i have a wireless linksys g-series router and my room is 2 floors up.
what should i get? how much should i spend?
my price limit is under the most expensive one out there.
just dont pick out the most expencive one


for my purposes:

gaming
internet use
more gaming online like c:ss
"if i can get my HL2 to work...
maybe ill ask in here too!
steam.exe (main exeption) : Unable to load library Steam.dll

what does this mean? i get this after i install HL2 everytime and it wont play

ok, heres the scoop

i FINALLY got my computer running.
i installed drivers and what not.



and then it was HL's turn to be installed

i put disk one in, is started to go, then after some agreeing a\on agreements and downloading some time it said, "insert disk 2"
the 3,4 and 5
after 5 it said installation complete. it didnt make me give it any form of CD key, and it didnt say you should resart you computer for these settings to work, as usual i restarted it for the setting to apply.
then i double clicked on hl2, hl s, hl D, and CSS and all of them said this error:

steam.exe (main exeption) : Unable to load library Steam.dll

even the steam icon, so i went into the program folder and was looking aT it and it should it was all there and installed.
so i UNINSTALLED EVERYTHING and redid it, the same error occured

please tell me whats up!
