What is a good Sound Card?

Hey all, im sure some of you read a previous post 'I have a small problem...'.

As the title says, what is a good sound card? Seems the on board sound card is not working as well as I thought. Only can hear from the right side of my headphones and my Mic does not work at some games. Works fine on vent but on TF2 or any other games, it does not work. At ALL

So I wa wondering whats a good sound card that is like $20-$40. Nothing fancy just a simple card that I can hear though my headphones and use my Mic correctly. Thanks again!

Iv got the same issue on my steam games. I can use sound recorder and Vent fine, but in steam games its static. Maybe ill grab a sound card from work :).
Want one? Sound Blaster Live?

Yeah, ill see if I cant find the driver disk. I prob wont find em but ill see. If not just go to creative's site and search "sound blaster live".
