What do you think of the 3DTVs?

I'll start out by saying I love technology, and I love big TV's, HD movies and sports is awesome, but..

3DTV has got to be one of the most useless, annoying, unnecessary gimmicks that has been put on the market in a long time.

Maybe it's cause I think the quality looks worse, the price is too high, and you need overpriced glasses--

I wear glasses normally, and despite what companies say--it is not comfortable to wear the 3D glasses over your normal glasses.

I'd stick with a nice 47-52" HD 1080p Samsung any day of the week, over a 3DTV.

Haven't owned one yet. But from the demos at best buy (and if they are anything like 3d movies at the theatre) It's definitely not worth it. 3d gaming on the other hand....If it didn't cost an arm and a leg for a 3d laptop or monitor that would be some awesome stuff. At least based off the demo I've seen.

Another fad and a huge waste of money and it will disappear and reappear again in 10 years like clockwork. My friend has one and it makes me sick to watch it for more than a hour.

Nintendo 3DS

To get a better idea (for those who've had the opportunity), would you say that Nintendo's 3DS system is better than 3DTV in displaying 3D? Besides the picture, do you get any headaches from the Nintendo system?

To let you know I wear bifocals so my chances of getting a distorted picture are greater. But when I tried the 3DTV demo for 15 minutes at Best Buy, I experienced no problems - no distortions nor headaches (I also like the idea that the system let's you control the amount of 3D you may get which is a powerful Nintendo feature).
