I'm wanting to upgrade into the i7 and either would like to sell my system or part out. What do you think a fair price would be for this;

Antec 900
Asus P5Q-E Mobo
E8500 CPU
Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Sunbean 6 Switch Fan Controller
OCZ 700 PSU
22" Viewsonic VX2235
Asus 4870 Video Card The one they don't sell anymore I bought for 279.00 here is a link to a open item from newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121258R
GSkill 4 GB 8500
WD 640 HD
Samsung 20X DVD
Sabrent 65 in 1 Card Reader
Creative Labs Audo 70SB
Logitech G15 Keyboard
Saitek PK02 Keyboard
OCZ Mouse
Logitech MX518 Mouse
Logitech Z560 THX 4.1 Speaker (probably 4 years old)
MS Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit
MS Windows Office Home and Student

I spent over 2K on the system back in July of last year. I've only used it a few times. My daughter and her boyfriend play WOW,L4D, Barbie fashion show <~~~ hehe and a few other video games on it. I built it and then took it to the local comp. shop to have them d/l all the drivers. I had them put a small OC on it for about a month and it didn't like certain games so I removed the battery and reset it back to stock. I'd like to keep the mouse and keyboard for my new system. If not, I'd like to sell just the mobo, CPU, Cooler, fan controller ( I have 2 of these), monitor, video card, memory and logitch speakers.

These items you can keep...you'll just have to buy new anyway. You'll end up loosing money and end up buying almost the same stuff.

Keep the video card...that will drop right in an i7 with no issues.

Keep the case also, great case with great cooling.

Asus P5Q-E Mobo
E8500 CPU
Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
GSkill 4 GB 8500

These are about the only items to sell.

Got pics?

No, but I can take some. Everything is still in the case. I have the original boxes for the mobo, video, fan controller and I think the cpu fan. But I can't find the boxes for the cpu or memory. I was thinking of upgrading the video card to a gtx 275 or a 4890. The 4870 has 512 mb. And upgrading to an Antec 902 :D.... I'll take some pics. tomorrow of the tower and the inside with everything.:good: Do you think $1000.00 is too much to ask for the system complete? Or maybe I put on craigslist? I'd prefer a local buyer, but I'd be willing to ship. I just added up todays prices from newegg and here's what I came up with;

Antec 900 $104.99
Asus P5Q-E Mobo $148.99-20MIR 128.99
E8500 CPU $189.99
Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro $28.98
Sunbean 6 Switch Fan Controller $39.99
OCZ 700 PSU $99.99-30MIR 69.99
22" Viewsonic VX2235 $169.99
Asus 4870 Video Card The one they don't sell anymore I bought for 279.00 here is a link to a open item from newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16814121258R $202.99 Open Box
GSkill 4 GB 8500 $54.99
WD 640 HD $69.99
Samsung 20X DVD $29.99
Sabrent 65 in 1 Card Reader $12.99
Creative Labs Audo 70SB $34.99
Logitech Z560 THX 4.1 Speaker (probably 4 years old) $200.00 found on another site
MS Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit $109.99
MS Windows Office Home and Student $108.99

Total is $1,557.84 plus tax and shipping if applicable. If someone were to buy today.

Can try for $1000...that is the good thing about craigslist.

One thing though the 4870 is only worth $140 brand new at best. The 4890 owns the $200 bracket now.

Also the speakers I found used for $119.00 on Amazon and they are only 1 year used. Amazon is also over priced. I would expect MAYBE $40-$50 for such a old pair.

The bloat-items such as MS Office/Card Reader will most likely be removed in the "offer" email since those are items 90% of us will never use and if they are buying your system GOOD chances are they are computer savy and wont want to buy things they wont use.

My offer would be $700 with the monitor without the above items to many risk factors....fan failure to HDD failure on used parts. Then no warranty...a lot of risk for the price.

Then to boot you can build a Quad-Core system for $600 now...so its like paying top dollar for the P4 when the C2D is the same price range.

Heh, on craigslist you can usually get close to what its currently worth, even if it is used. Ive seen people sell units with a single 8800gtx and they got almost $1300 for it. If you have it cable managed very nicely, cleaned up, and without any major blemishes on the case you can prolly get a good price on it, dont put a specific price on it either, put "Offers welcome".

Yeah I got on craigslist and saw a computer gaming rig spec'd close to mine with a 550 psu and a no name mobo, without a monitor fan controller or card reader , he did have a gtx 260 and he wanted 1200.00. Funny thing is when I called him he had sold it, this was last month. Thanks for all the constructive criticism, this is all good knoledge to have. I'm taking pics. right now... :good:

If you have cathodes or whatever, set your camera to a low ISO, on a tripod, and no flash for pictures of the interior.

OCZ is amazing. When I went to take pics. I noticed the PSU fan was hitting the top. I emailed them and they sent me a confirmation, then a tech number. Now Monday morning they sent me an RMA and ask me to return and they'd send a new one out. So tomorrow morning this psu is going out to them, let's see how fast they get me another one. I should write up my expierence on a new thread under the psu forum and give them a review when this is over. But so far they have had great tech support.:good:
