What computer course should I take?

Soon I will be going to school and I'm planning on a taking a computer course of some sort. Right now I'm not sure which one to choose as I don't know much about any of them.

Here is the courses that school offers

Computer Information Technology
Computer Programming
Information Systems Security
Networking Technology
Web Technologies

It would be great if somebody can tell me a little of what each one involves. Also which do you think will be the best field to go into. I was looking to go into graphics design but the college that offers that is a good drive away.

I'd take the CIT, ISS, and NT classes (if you can). Otherwise, choose one that pertains to the field you want to go into. CIT is general computing technology, CP may bore you, but you never know, ISS is important if you want to become a network admin, NT helps you network (duh :P) and web is probably web design.

Yea I was leaning towards CIT but also was thinking about taking NT or web after that. Your right CP bores me just thinking about it. I don't think I could sit all day and write coding. I am also thinking about taking a business class as well because one day I would like to open up my own computer shop.

although some knowledge of programming is really nice to have, I have taken a few different programming classes at school and they have really helped me at work, networking and even web design require some sort of programming

If you're internally unsure of what specific field to enter at this stage... Maybe perhaps consider one of the more general courses... In case later on in life, your mind changes or you really want to do a course, you don't have to branch off into a completely unknown field. I don't know about the rest of the world, but I have heard programming and & software development has great scope in Australia.
