What am I doing wrong

I just purchased a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband router with speed booster and a pc card for laptop and am having now luck.

I dont have satalite internet yet, getting it next week but wanting to share files and printer with my laptop. the laptop shows I have a great signal but cant seem to get onto desktop pc to use printer etc,

I have my network card on desktop pluged into number 1 port on broadband router.
 
1) you need to run your network wizard

2) if your using a firewall ... you need to enter each pc's ip as a trusted pc.
