Weird icons

Just recently I noticed that a lot of file icons have a small blue box on the bottom left corner that resembles a fast forward symbol. What does this mean and how do I get rid of it? I have examples attached.

It is, It's Norton 360 backup icon overlays for the files that need to be backed up and have not yet been backed up. You can turn this feature off in Norton.
I have'nt got it so can't tell you where :)
When you turn it off you will need to reboot for the icons to be as they should be.
 
Google says
If you don’t need the backup indicators feature you can turn it off by clicking Settings in the Norton 360 main window, disabling the Backup Status Indicators check box and clicking Close.
