Weird crashing issue with The Evil Within - crashes on 1 display but not the other!

Hi guys I'm having a very strange issue with The Evil Within. I use two 65" Samsung 4K TVs as a dual monitor setup with my gaming PC (i9 with 4090 RTX GPU and 32GB of DDR5 and Windows 11 Pro). My main display is a 65" Samsung Q70A LED TV which I chose because it has a 120hz refresh rate. My secondary display is a 65" Samsung DU7200 LED TV which only has a 60hz refresh rate. I'm trying to start a new game on The Evil Within but when I play it on my main TV which has the 120hz refresh rate, it always crashes when I'm upside-down and in the final swinging motion about to grab the knife in the opening butcher scene. However, if I play the game on my secondary TV which has the 60hz refresh rate, it does not crash and I can continue playing the game without issue. I use 4K resolution in game and the same settings for both displays.

In the settings for the game, there are two options for FPS: 30 and 60 Vsync. I have tried both settings and the game still crashes on my main TV. I've tried changing resolution, enabling/disabling all settings in the game, enabling/disabling all sorts of settings in Nvidia control panel... I even tried changing the display settings in Windows 11 for my main TV to 60hz... but The Evil Within keeps crashing at the same point on my main Q70A TV. Since it works on my secondary TV, at this point my only guess is that since the Q70A has a native refresh rate of 120hz, it is conflicting with the game since the max setting in game is 60 FPS with vsync. Another difference between the two TVs: the Q70a has Bit depth 10-bit while the DU7200 has Bit depth 8-bit with dithering. Game Mode is enabled on both televisions and as far as I know the Q70A native refresh rate of 120hz cannot be changed.

Has anyone had any issues running The Evil Within on a gaming monitor with 120hz refresh rate or more? Any ideas on my issue described above? Thanks to anyone for any ideas!

UPDATE 02/27/2025: I started noticing a lot of problems with other games in the past 24 hours. Some games like Cyberpunk 2077 and God of War wouldn't even launch or would crash right after launching. Others would crash when entering a new area. I tried just about everything including installing all sorts of different versions of display drivers, changing display settings, launch settings etc. Then I remembered: a few days ago I installed the latest Windows 11 major update. So I went into Recovery settings and rolled back the update to go back to the previous version of Windows 11... and now everything works again! The crashing has stopped for The Evil Within and Cyberpunk/God of War launch now without issue. Unbelievable that Microsoft would release an "update" that screws up full screen games that much. Maybe I'm the only one who experienced these issues, but that seems unlikely. Either way: I will NOT be updating Windows 11 again anytime soon. Can't wait for my 2nd play through of The Evil Within this time on Akumu difficulty. Cheers!
