Webcam Driver Help

So I got a webcam but lost the software. Its an easycam by GE. I went to the site and downloaded the driver. Once I got everything installed my computer kept restarting over and over again. So i had to go into safe mode and remove the driver. Is is somerthing that I did? Can anyone tell me why this happened and how to install it again without this happening? :confused:

Follow these steps which may help you:

Step 1: Uninstall the webcam driver (with webcam plugged in)
Step 2: Plug in the webcam and locate the saved drivers
Step 3: Begin to install drivers and wait while it installs.
Step 4: Restart your system and take out your webcam.
Step 5: Plug in webcam and turn your system on.

- It should work. Try some other steps or trouble shooting on the webcam you have.
