wap on network cards?

just have a quick question on routers. can 802.11b networks cards use wap? i have an older centrino notebook and after learning about how easy it is to break wep and mac filtering, i want to switch to wap. as far as i know 802.11g can use wap and 802.11b cannot.

well does your router have an option for it??
most cards should be able to use it...you might need updated drivers

yeah my router has the option for it, i use a linksys wrt54g at school and a d-link di-624 at home. both routers have the option for wap.
