Wanted: LGA775 CPU

I've read a few reviews on the motherboard I just purchased, and i've read that some people are able to use their C2D's out of the box, while others need to use an older LGA775 CPU in order to flash the BIOS.

So i'm asking in advance if anyone has a low-end LGA775 CPU, that they would be willing to sell me, for say, under $40 (Celeron's are fine). If you do, i'll let you know in a few days whether I need it or not.

Omega, why do you wan't so much work? Go to a computer repair store and they will flash the BIOS (In CanadaComputers it costed 20canadian bucks, and 5 minutes in my life )

I can get one on newegg for $43, but I would rather see if anyone here has a used one that they would be willing to sell for <$20.

Nevermind, I got my computer and it came with the newer BIOS so my C2D worked out of the box.

Dont you think you shoulda spent a little more on a motherboard manufacted by someone other than Asrock?I've never had good times with them.

Oh I hate this board, lol.

But I didn't feel like spending about $150-$200 for new RAM, $200-$250 for a new video card, and $100 for a new motherboard. This way I just spent $55 and can keep my parts until I decide to upgrade to a Core 2 Quad and DX10 later next year.
