Wanted:Intel E8400

If anyone has a Intel E8400 processor and is willing to get rid of it I am willing to trade my Intel Q6600 and $150 cash..

the xeon 3110 or something is supposedly the handpicked best of the E8400's, and they are mostly in stock and cheaper.

I couldn't find an E8400 anywhere, but if you really want one on eBay though they are going for around $270, so it's probably better than what you were offering.

Xeon procs are socket 771 and only compatible with Skulltrail and server mobos.
 
Not sure about this, but I'm pretty sure the e3110 and the e8400 are actually the same thing, and both use 775.

Search on google and you will see.

Good call. I didn't know Intel was releasing server procs for socket 775. :o They do appear to be the same, basically.
 
Well see all I have is $150 right now so that's why I was making the trade offer.Or I'll have to sell my Q6600 so I can buy the E8400.
 
well the q6600 is pretty much worth the same as an e8400 so if you cant find someone with one who would trade for that and 150$ then something is wrong!!!
