Want to buy a new headset

My main concern about this though is that i am not 100% sure if i need a soundcard or not? i have an ASRock 970 Extreme4 Motherboard and it says that it supports 7.1 surround but i am not sure the headset will work with it. i just want to be certain before i buy the headset so any help would be greatly appreciated. feel free to suggest other headsets

Yes it will work just fine with the onboard, you have full 7.1 audio + mic

having it with sound card wont be an issue based on a friend of mine perhaps it will improve the quality somehow. cool isnt it? goodluck though'
