wait you need buy cd for wow now??

i just started wow and my friend gave me the wow 10 day free trial...and now i bought the game card he told me i have to buy the game to continue on
wtf is this?
is this true?

uhm yeah...the cd key is what they really sell in the box,the cds are just install disks for convenience,you gotta buy the game and input the cd key and then pay for it.

but alot of other people played wow thru trial accounts
and than buy a game card to keep onb playing

one more question than will my account be erased?
if not can't i just buy the burning crusade in cd

No,they buy the game and add the cd key to the trial account so the account therefore becomes an actual game account,then they pay with credit card or game card and recieve 1 month free with the game.You cannot play the game with just the trial cd key,its a trial.

EDIT:When you input a cd key into a trial account,you keep the characters on the account and the account becomes a fully activated account.Burning crusade does not play out as its own game,meaning without the first world of warcraft,you cannot use the burning crusade expansion,you need both or just the first one.
