Vista buzzing sound.

I just added a sound blast Sb0090 to my desktop, due to issues with sleep mode that the onboard sound was having, mainly driver not working when coming out of sleep mode. Now I am having a ackward problem, This card worked very well in a older machine and now I have downloaded the vista driver and I get a strange buzzing noise i guess in the background of whatever I am doing, I did install the latest driver and this issue doesn't seem to stop, is there anything i can try or do? This really is a good card and i'd hate to have to buy another one just to get it to work with vista. thanks in advance.

If there is a power cord to one of your other devices inside your case that is laying very close to your soundblaster, it could be causing some electrical interference. My suggestion is to move the power cords away from that card.

If that does not work, then it might be in either your speaker or headphone connection. Try jiggling the connections to your speakers.

Do you have this card connected to the ports in the front of your case? If so the problem might be there.

Most likely, its the vista drivers that are causing it.
