video rca to usb cable

GREETINGS ALL,
I HAVE A DEVICE THAT RECORDS TO AN SD CARD...WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS USING A CABLE AS PICTURED HERE, WILL I BE ABLE TO INPUT THE VIDEO FROM THE DEVICES' OUTPUT INTO A TYPICAL DESKTOP COMPUTER?...WOULD I NEED AN SD CARD READER TO VIEW THE VIDEO OR WILL THE COMPUTER RECOGNIZE THE VIDEO INPUTTED TO IT FOR VIEWING?...THANKS. (ps sorry for the caps!).

SD Card reader would be a safer bet. Not sure if your device allows such way for viewing.
