trying to download some torrents with this prog, and for some reason i can't connect to the internet using firefox while torrents are downloading.

its a great program and i set the max upload to 20KB/s and download to 35KB/s... but i still cant connect to the internet. my max download should be around 354KB/s (2.8megabits benchmarked by speakeasy.net) and upload i believe is about 1/4 of that speed.
i mean, i want to be able to download and surf the internet at the same time, and with my connection i should be able to.
i opened the uTorrent port on my router...
my dad's computer is off, so they're not using any bandwidth downstairs...
just can't figure out whats wrong. any suggestions guys?
 
It's probably the program, since i have similar problems when using Azureus, once and a while i wont be able to do anything else when it's download.

If you quit the program, are you able to get back online or do you need to restart your modem/router?
 
Also, try limiting the upload speed, since that also kills your bandwidth. I know with Azureus if you go below 5KBps it limits your download, so my upload is set to 5KBps.
