Using Microsoft Sound Recorder?

Hi everyone,

I wasn't sure where to post this but here goes.

I have to get some quick recordings to my PC since my mixer's CD drive is not working. I run the mixer via the red/white stereo cables into the line in/mic input. I can play this and hear it through the speakers. I use Sound Recorder to record and I can save as a WAV file. However, when I go to play it back, I hear nothing although the file must have something because it is 20 MG!

Any thought sas to why I can not hear the file once recorded?

THANKS!
Rich

MS sound recorder does not play what is heard through your speakers. You need to activate those from Volume control - options - properties - activate 'recording' and he inputs you use, then press ok and adjust the volume.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. However, I did open my Windows Sound options and un-mute the Line in so I can hear the mixer coming through my computer speakers. Shouldn't Sound Recorder pick this up? I can't find Volume control - options - properties - activate 'recording'? Is that in the SR properties or Windows? Thanks.

I think I found it and I guess I have to change this setting each time I record.
When I checked, the recording volume was fine.
