Hi.

I have a ntl: cable broadband. At the moment I'm using ethernet cable from modem to computer. Can I switch the modem to USB port to use ethernet port for the network between 2 PC's and then be able to share internet and all other resources?

Thanks,

Kirret

Yes, you can use the usb port. Although some people say using the ethernet gives better performance, i never noticed a difference with my NTL modem

But I'm not able to switch it to USB. During the installation of USB drivers, the progress says that the IP address cannot be renewed.

Hmmm.......are you running through the installation cd?

If you were running it through ethernet, then it should of been picked up automatically. The best thing to do would be to phone customer support.
