Usb cable to wall

I purchased a combo Netgear Router /Modem. After it arrived I could not use it because the connection into the unit is USB and my signal through my wall plate (Comcast provider) is standard coaxial cable, screw on type. I was told that in parts of the USA their wall connections are USB but not in Florida. Does anyone know if a coaxial cable to USB cable exists and where can I buy one? If I can't find this, unit will have to go on ebay.

It sounds like you just bought a router that doesn't have a cable modem integrated within it, or it had a DSL component instead.

The USB port is for things like a flash drive where you can use it as shared storage with your network hosts.

As stated, posting the exact model will help tremendously.

It is a combination router/modem. It is Netgear DGN2200 N300 Wireless n ADSL2 + DSL Modem& WiFi 802.11 n Router combo

What you bought was a dsl modem not a cable modem. You would need something like this.

If you want wireless incorporated with it then this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16825122014

If you want a separate router then I would suggest this.

Modem - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16825122015

Obviously I had no idea what I was purchasing and I can't send it back. I thought I was simply buying something to take the place of both my router and modem all in one unit. I thought just hook up to coax wall fitting , plug in A/C and I would be in business. I put it on ebay. Are people getting their internet through ADSL cable plugged in
to this thing?

Not sure what you are asking. On the router you purchased, you would have to use a phone line cord from wall to modem. That is what dsl internet it.

You should be able to return it, unless you bought it from somewhere shady.

What router and modem do you have now? Are you really dead set on an all-in-one unit?
