USB 3 and XP Pro

I was thinking about putting an USB3 PCIe card in my comuter, but have been told that there is no benefit to be gained with XP only Window 7 or above.

Is this correct?

as long as the card supports it you will be fine. And the 7 and above is BS because vista works fine with USB3.
