Your CPU is intel 7th gen core processors.

There are work arounds to make Win 11 install on unsupported cpu's but these work arounds could close at any time from Microsoft updates. Honestly not worth the hassle.

If your machine is still fine for what you do, I would suggest you just keep using it until Windows 10 loses security updates (kinda soon, October 2025) and just keep a look out on sales coming up.

Closest sale is probably the back to school events which should be now... or coming soon before September and the next big one is Black Friday/Cyber Monday in November.

Thanks for your help Intel-man,
my computer is fine just a bit slow. I will keep an eye out.
thanks again.

Are you using a standard hard drive or an SSD? You've got a decent cpu and 16gb of ram so it shouldn't be slow. You also may need to do some system maintenance like run Ccleaner, check for malware using Malwarebytes, disable unnecessary programs running at bootup. If you would like I can help you sort this some until you can buy a new system.

Thanks johnb35 for your advice.
I run on a hard drive,
I have avg free version which I use, I will look into the other software you mentioned.
thanks again.

I recommend getting rid of AVG as it causes a lot more problems then it solves. Generally people can just run Malwarebytes scanner as an on demand and be good. Windows 10 also comes with windows defender built in so once AVG gets uninstalled then Windows should automatically turn on Defender.
