Updating Sound Card Drivers

Generally as mentioned in the other thread on chipsets you will see an installer that will see a driver set go on once downloaded. When going to install a fresh update from a support site generally there will be the two options besides the OS being run for choosing the drivers alone or with the software portion included such as the Catalyst Control Center for an ATI card, audio console/sound mixer for a sound card, etc. there.
 
When placing the original software disk in the drive the installer automatically starts up. The same is seen whan double clicking on any download with the "exe" file extension. When seeing a temp folder created for self extracting files then you simply double click on the setup.exe file included there.
