Unable to play complete file

Hello, I am very new to computerforum. I have been experiencing this problem from past 2 days. I am trying to transfer a video file which is of 700mb to my pen drive which has a capacity of 1 gb. The problem is, when i click and select a file to copy and paste it in my pen drive, it gets copied but I am unable to play the file completely. For example, if I am transferring a file which is of 700 mb and it is an avi format file with a run time of 1:30 mins, I am unable to play the movie after 56 mins or 1 hour or so. So, I am left with no choice but to delete the file and retry copying it. After repeated attempts, I have been unsuccessful to solve the problem. Please help/ guide. Please reply soon. Yes, i am able to play the file completely when its on the computer, the problem occurs only when its on the pen drive. what could it be that is making this trouble....i really hate this thing. am unable to transfer a complete file at all, when i check the file size its exactly the same as in the pc and in the pendrive, its only the file that i cant play fully, i tried transfering a smaller file of 350 mb file, that did not have any problem at all, only the 700 mb file has this problem.
 
It sounds like the file is not completely writing to the pen drive.

Have you tried it with another drive? Try eliminating all possible problems.

Yes, i have tried it with different pen drives, still the same problem continues
i dont even know what problems to eliminate
