Two Sound Cards

My name is oliver
I have a question i wanted to ask and wanted to go to the experts
So that is why i am posting it here
My Question is
How can i have two sound cards on my computer(one i bought and one that was in the computer when i bought it)
and have both of them show up on the audio select list(or to both be recognized at the same time)(not one or the other)

Please let me now Your awners

Why would you want to do this? Why not just disable the one that you currently have and have the one that you bought the working enabled one?
 
i could be wrong but I do believe he is asking how to disable one. I'm assuming that the sound card that came with your computer is actually onboard sound? which would mean it's not a souncard at all. You would enter your bios by hitting a key such as the "Delete" key in most cases. After your in your bios you'll look for your onboard sound and then disable it. If it's a sound card however you'll want to just uninstall the card itself by physically removing it from your computer.

Sorry I should not just assume that someone knows how to enter the bios ;).

As your computer is starting (right at begining durring post) you'll hit the "Delete" key in most cases. Your computer may be different such as F4 or somthing, Check the manual if Delete does not work.

Yes you can however the system volume control will only set the volume for one device at a time (you gotta toggle back and forth if you want to control them)

Soundcard 1 = Music, games, etc
Soundcard 2 = Telephony
By doing that you can change the volume of a phonecall without blaring game music or vice versa
