I would think that you could just use the Headphone jack to feed an amplifier. I'm not absolutely sure about it so you may want to wait for a second or third opinion. You would need to get a Stereo adapter plug to convert to RCA plugs from the Stereo headphone plug. I believe Radio Shack still carries them, I got one there a few years ago. :)

EDIT: if your trying to feed sound from your amp to your computer you would use an rca to mini stereo cable from your amplifier's rca out to the line in on your computer.

If you want to feed sound from your computer to an amp:

You want to use the sound card line out.... run an rca to mini stereo cable from the line out to the amplifier's rca in ...and then from the amp to the speakers.

line out is the green one right??

so basically i get what i posted earlier, and then i plug that into the green port, then i use the RCA cables that i have hooked up to my amp, and i plug those into the adapter shown in the link above......

you can purchase an rca cable with male ends.... the amplifier has the female ends.. so the rca cable's male ends plug into the amp and the mini stero side plugs into the sound card. (the reason is because every attachment and extra cable is contributing to a reduction in the sound quality)
