alrighty there's a lot of stuff you need to do, first you need to make sure your IP and DNS are automatically set by your ISP (trying to use all the acronyms you'll find). Then you need to turn DHCP on, and if it gives you a starting and ending list, just make sure the difference between the last two numbers is at least as big as how many computers you are connecting. If you have a cd that came with it, most of this stuff should configure using it too. You really ought to set up security, but it's pretty hard to explain how to do that in a post, so your best bet is to try to find a friend who knows how to set one up and get them to help you.
