trying to get signal to a mates house

hi guys i have a broadband connection at the moment. a mate of mine lives about 200 - 250 meters away from me. i want to be able to access the internet on his computer as he has no phone line. i was thinking of using a wireless router but i dont know how far they will reach. i live up on a mountain so if i put the router in my bed room window and and aeral in his house window there will be nothing in between us as is it all open. any ideas what hard ware i can use to do this. thanks guys

Well, you could do it if you bounce the signal with some aluminum foil. Just set it up so that all the wireless signals bounce off of the foil, to his house.

They sell wireless repeaters that will repeat the signal, they run about $80 USD.
