Trouble with server memory.

I have some errors on the file server, an Compaq/HP with two scuzzy drives of 34GB - But according to each workstation there is enough space free on the virtual drive. But the server flags a page file constantly with memory errors!

Is it possible that the hardware or the software is no longer suitable as a file server? NOT!

Maybe the software is at fault.

Any idea where to look?

assuming you haven't changed any hardware or software in the computer recently....

if its popping up memory errors and accessing the page file alot, then maybe a stick of ram is starting to go bad.

if its popping up errors when trying to ACCESS the page file, then maybe one of the hard drives is starting to go bad.

Is this possible of causing their applications like SQL to report errors when accessing!?

I read some white pages on Microsoft's support pages about altering the registry.

This is one of the error messages reporting...

Health Monitor Messages in Server Status: "NetworkInterface : Critical Condition. WMI Status:2147749889"

found here:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329641/en-us

Although, in the event log very little error messages are being reported. It proves to point that maybe a stick of RAM like you guys have mentioned could be at fault? I like to make sure before continuing with this issue. Could the memory stick cause errors to occurred when using SQL database priority to their Dentrix software (being that this customer is a dentistry).

They sometimes launch up their application and get these messages. I like to make certain it's actual RAM that might be the problem... or possible... if you feel the HDD is going bad... that's a whole serious issue altogether... have to be certain???
