Trouble Burning To Play on My CD Player

Hi,

i have downloaded some songs from the web which are .mp3 format and i'm trying to burn them on to my CDR using Nero Express to make it an audio CD but after doing so, and playing it on my CD player, it does not work.

I also tried to burn them using windows media player but i sometimes get an error saying,
Cannot play, burn or sync the file because the required codec is not insatlled on your computer
It gives me an option to click OK and web help. But after reading the web help it tells me i need to have the "Download codecs automatically" option in Player tab checked, which is already checked.

Can somebody help me on this please. Do i need some OTHER burning software perhaps? or am i missing something here because my friend said that in order for me to play my burned music in my CD player, i need to make sure it is on 'audio' rather than .mp3.

Thanks

Do the songs actually play? MP3 is the codec so unless something's wrong with the files or there's something new I don't know of, you shouldn't have any problems playing/burning/whatever the files.

When making CDs, I normally use Deep Burner Free. I've never had any problems with regular MP3s to Audio CDs.

The songs do play yes, only on a pc or laptop though. I have even tried to burn, songs of type Windows Media Audio File onto cdr and play them on my cd player but the CD player is not able to read it some reason.

Even if i tried to rip an offical music cd then burn it onto a cdr as audio, it does not work.
