i have a dual boot with linux ubuntu interped and windows xp
i don't normally use the xp, only for when i am testing sites in IE8
the other day i noticed that there is no sound from the xp
the linux works fine, all the sound works
as i worked out, there was a problem with the drivers,
so i installed the realteck ac'97 audio drivers, but at the end there is an
error:10
i have no clue what that means, but i also noticed that there is an "!" next to the ac'97 driver
i tried re-istalling, rebooting and taking out and putting back in the sound card, but there is still and exclamation mark
the problem could lie elsewhere thoug, i'm just suggesting what i think it is
thanks in advance for any help
ps. it DOES work in linux, BUT not in xp, and they are on the same harddrive, different partitions
