Hi guys - take a look at this..

if you have a 56kb modem how long will it take to download a 140kb file?

would you not need to know the downloading speed to answer this? if not what is the formula to solving this..

Yes you would need to know the actual downloading speed in order to find out how long it would take to download the 140Kb file. The download speed for 56Kb is around 4.8kb/s I think (I never had 56Kb so I'm not entirely sure if that's right).

yeah it's max is around 5.0kb/s but it can drop down to also most nothing, but it also varies on what speed you connect at. And 140kb it not the large I've downloaded 900+MB files on dial up so...
