Transporting computer

Got a question and not a lot of time. I'm leaving on a trip soon and need to take a computer with me, is there any way to do this with a desktop? What kind of cases would I use? If it matters at all, i'm using air cooling and not liquids so I don't think any pipes will come loose during transport and leak.

Maybe wrap the monitor in a blanket if you don't have the box. Everything else in a duffel bag. I'd assume as long as it doesn't undergo any serious trauma that it will survive.

When I transport my computer I remove the CPU cooler as a precaution. This is due to the weight of the heatsink (~1 kg) and I don't want it to bend the motherboard if there are sudden accelerations. I'd suggest wrapping the case in something soft and strapping it down so it doesn't move around. For the monitor I'd use some cardboard to protect the panel and wrap it in something soft.

when i moved my computer, the hdd went bad...id be waary about that, i generally leave the pc on its side since all the movement would be up and down that way and any weight would really not hurt it.

I don't think i'll be doing it again after I return home. It was heavy as heck as hard to fit in the toyota. I think for mobile travel a desktop replacement laptop is better idea for me.

The keyboard is the smallest problem:

This may come a little late, but I've got a CPU carrier made by Xbag (or Xbags). It carries the desktop computer and keyboard and has a carry handle and shoulder strap. It's pretty nice when hauling a computer around. With the rest (like speakers), I don't know what to tell you.
